Chad Schwartz  |  Associate Professor  |  Kansas State

Chad Schwartz is an Associate Professor in the College of Architecture, Planning and Design at Kansas State University. For the past seventeen years, he has taught design studio at both the undergraduate and graduate level along with building construction and structures. His research centers on investigations of the tectonic in contemporary architecture and on the development of curricular strategies and pedagogy for integrating the teaching of design and construction. His first book, Introducing Architectural Tectonics: Exploring the Intersection of Design and Construction, was released in November of 2016 by Routledge. His second book, Situate, Manipulate, Fabricate: An Anthology of the Influences on Architectural Design and Production was released in August 2020 by Routledge.
