In this problem, the students were tasked with creating interventions in SIU’s Morris Library. Each group of students had to develop an intervention that was specific to their chosen context or area of the library and that would engage with library patrons through multiple senses. The students spend the entire project working in Morris Library as we shifted the studio to one of their classrooms. The students were also required to present their ideas to the library staff for approval prior to installation.
The installations were kept up in the library for the duration of the semester.
