This gallery shows a series of built details from the third project of the spring semester of ARC 242 in 2012.  The premise for the project is simple:  find a way to connect together (2) 2′-0″ long pieces of 2×4 lumber.  Each of the students completed two constructions using only wood and two constructions where the connection was made with a material other than wood.  Fundamentally, architecture is an assembly, an series of attached parts.  These simple constructions, architecture in themselves, can be used as inspiration on many scales as these students move on to design bigger and better buildings, spaces, and environments.
