In the fall of 2011, the comprehensive design studio took on the challenge of designing a transit village adjacent to the Metrolink in downtown East St. Louis. The students worked in groups of three and four doing masterplans of the site while concurrently working on a programmatic component of the site (multifamily housing, learning center, or big box retail) individually.
